Environmental Conflict-Free Sourcing Policy
Empacadora El Llano has a formal policy that guarantees that all the avocados we pack and export come from orchards that are not linked to deforestation or unauthorized land-use changes, verified through an independent satellite monitoring system called Forest Guardian. Guardián Forestal.
- Independent satellite verification: Each supplier orchard is monitored using the Forest Guardian system, which detects changes in forest cover in real time.
- Zero tolerance for deforestation: We do not acquire products from orchards with active deforestation alerts or a history of irregular land-use change.
- Traceability of origin: We maintain a documented record of the origin of each packed lot, including data on the orchard, producer, and harvest date.
- International regulatory compliance: This policy is aligned with the requirements of major export markets regarding sustainability and responsible sourcing.
